Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethical Approval
It is the responsibility of the University of Raparin to preserve ethics in publishing. Ethics in publishing encompass a variety of principles and standards designed to ensure integrity, transparency, and fairness in the dissemination of information. To this end, the university’s Directorate General of the Research Center has taken the following measures:
Forming an IRB or Ethical Approval Committee to handle the issue of protecting human research participants in scientific research.
Setting appropriate guidelines for the formation of the committee according to the ethical standards of conducting scientific research.
The guidelines include:
Selection of a scientific research methodology that conforms to the principles of scientific research.
An informed consent statement by the participants ensuring their voluntary participation and the right to withdraw at any time.
Protection of participants' confidentiality and privacy.
Ensuring the committee includes at least one member from outside the affiliated research institute.
Declaring a lack of competing interests, which affirms that authors disclose any financial or personal relationships that could be perceived as influencing their work.
Ensuring the research proposal maintains honesty and integrity, and that researchers take responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of their published work.
Implementing rigorous checks for plagiarism to uphold originality.
