UoR Research Center

     The Research Center of Raparin University is a general directorate in the institution that is responsible for managing, encouraging and supporting scientific research. Established in 2010, it is the major administration unit to provide the required services to researchers of the university. The main functions of the Center include, but are not limited to both scientific and administrative services such as training researchers, organizing conferences and workshops, research incentive and research title support, etc.

    The mission of the Scientific Research Center at University of Raparin is to advance the research to a world-class level, and to enable innovation across the entire Kurdistan Region of Iraq. This is done through facilitating and enhancing partnerships and collaborations between researchers, providing infrastructure and training that promotes creativity by ensuring ethical compliance and fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.

    The center envisions to be a leading research center by providing research-based solutions which can benefit Raparin Area, Kurdistan Region, and the world. We also envisage to be recognized as a creative and innovative Research Centre in the Region and the world.

    The Scientific Research Center is responsible for promoting, advancing and improving the status of scientific research at the University of Raparin. This can be done by fostering a competing research culture. The center is also committed to attempt at addressing the common issues and problems in the area and the world such as global warming and migration.

1. To support and carry out basic scientific research that will advance society’s general knowledge of our world.

2. To use applied science to answer questions and issues facing our communities.

3. To provide specific responses based on sound scientific principles to government and private sector initiatives.

4. To publish quality scientific articles, assist in their publication to increase the number of publications in high-impact scientific journals.

5. To maintain on-going relationships with other scientific centers in Kurdistan and beyond that will support collaboration in conducting the group scientific research.
